Allan Ferguson, P.Eng.
President
A professional engineer for over 30 years, Allan also holds an MBA and has enjoyed a varied career beginning in heavy equipment and electrical sales roles prior to a 12-year career as an investment broker. Allan also served as President of East Coast International Trucks for three years before acquiring Ace Mechanical Limited in 2014.
The opportunity to build mechanical contractor experience into the design phase led to the formation of EFP Engineering in 2018 with partners Geno and Curtis.
Geno Pace
Vice President

Starting at the site level, Geno has gained 35+ years of experience. He has progressed through the industry gaining valuable experience on several hundred projects. Geno has spent the past 20+ years in several senior leadership roles with a mechanical contractor. These roles allowed him to influence design at the site level and has been integrated in his role as a plumbing and heating system designer with EFP Engineering.
Geno has a substantial inventory of key skills including; value engineering – resulting in significant cost savings to owners, constructability reviews – minimizing change orders during construction which impact project cost and schedule, and architectural coordination – ensuring spatial requirements are properly coordinated during the design phase. Geno also employs a vast knowledge of the National Plumbing Code of Canada – allowing for optimal application to achieve functional and compliant systems.

Curtis Enman, P.Eng.
Principal Mechanical Engineer
A P.Eng. with 10 years of mechanical design experience, Curtis founded EFP with Allan and Geno in 2018. In his role as the firm’s Principal Mechanical Engineer he oversees all elements of design and manages our talented design team. Curtis is extremely detailed, particularly in reviewing codes and standards, and effectively coordinates with utilities and Building Officials to ensure compliance. He enjoys working closely with the mechanical trades, supporting them throughout construction and utilizing their feedback to improve subsequent designs.
Tyler Hughes, P.Eng., LEED Green Asscociate
Principal Electrical Engineer
Leveraging 14 years of experience in the construction industry, Tyler is excited to lead the new electrical department at EFP Engineering. Successfully building a satellite office in Halifax for a national firm, Tyler is well suited to lead this transition to a well-rounded M+E consulting firm of choice. Tyler has built a reputation for considered design, incorporating the individual client’s needs, individually, to ensure every project is completed as expected, on time, and on budget. Tyler has seen firsthand how effective communication and coordination with the whole project team can mean the difference between falling below a client’s expectations and exceeding them!

Corey Sawyer, EIT
Junior Mechanical Engineer
Corey graduated from Dalhousie University’s Mechanical Engineering program in 2021 and immediately returned to EFP, where he had previously completed an 8-month work term. During his co-op placements he gained experience applying codes and standards on a variety of engineering projects – an ability which enables him to develop effective, code compliant mechanical design solutions at EFP. Corey is always striving to expand his diverse skillset and contributes to EFP’s goals by assisting in the delivery of robust and economical mechanical designs on every project.
Brock Fisher, EIT, LEED Green Associate, EMIT
