Allan Ferguson, MBA, P.Eng.
President

A professional engineer for over 30 years, Allan also holds an MBA and has enjoyed a varied career beginning in heavy equipment and electrical sales roles prior to a 12-year career as an investment broker. Allan also served as President of East Coast International Trucks for three years before acquiring Ace Mechanical Limited in 2014.

The opportunity to build mechanical contractor experience into the design phase led to the formation of EFP Engineering in 2018 with partners Geno and Curtis.

Starting at the site level, Geno has gained 35+ years of experience. He has progressed through the industry gaining valuable experience on several hundred projects. Geno has spent the past 20+ years in several senior leadership roles with a mechanical contractor. These roles allowed him to influence design at the site level and has been integrated in his role as a plumbing and heating system designer with EFP Engineering.

Geno has a substantial inventory of key skills including; value engineering – resulting in significant cost savings to owners, constructability reviews – minimizing change orders during construction which impact project cost and schedule, and architectural coordination – ensuring spatial requirements are properly coordinated during the design phase. Geno also employs a vast knowledge of the National Plumbing Code of Canada – allowing for optimal application to achieve functional and compliant systems.
